Blood test for HPV may help predict risk in cancer patients

(UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center) Preliminary findings presented at this year's American Society of Radiation Oncology Annual Meeting suggest a genetic test for HPV16 in the blood could be useful to help assess risk for patients, and could help identify patients suitable for lower treatment doses.
